Dichloromethylvinylsilane is a highly reactive vinyl chlorosilane used to introduce methyl-vinyl functionality into silicone materials. It is an important intermediate for silicone rubber, silicone resin, modified silanes and specialty organosilicon compounds. Because chlorosilanes are moisture-sensitive and can release hydrogen chloride, proper storage and handling are essential.
